The 2021 Nissan Sentra is an incredibly snazzy compact car for an unimaginable low price. Its edgy, crisp design mimics a Honda Civic or a Toyota Corolla while still containing that Nissan flare. The Sentra, now in the second year of its eighth generation, has been one of Nissan’s top sellers for the very reason that it checks all the boxes of a great city sedan. Its value and intelligent design are evident inside and out- a seriously good deal for a compact car that starts at just barely over $20,000.

This year, Nissan added Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to its base models. The SR trim now comes with NissanConnect Services, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a new two-tone paint combo (Electric Blue metallic with a black roof).
Every Sentra is powered by a 149-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT), and front-wheel drive. Its gearless automatic transmission simulates traditional gear changes and allows for a smooth, quick, and quiet ride. On-road tests and test drives, the 2021 Nissan Sentra showed an impressive combination of excellent acceleration, confident handling, and good fuel economy, making it a great choice in the compact sedan segment. It delivered a reassuring pedal feel and solid stopping power from 70 mph, coming to a halt in a class-competitive 170 feet. The EPA estimates the 2021 Sentra will earn up to 29 mpg in the city and 39 mpg on the highway. Not too shabby!
The 2021 Nissan Sentra is just as stylish on the inside as it is on the outside. One look at the Sentra, and you’ll see that it quickly has one of the prettier designs in its compact sedan segment. The dashboard’s center hosts a trio of stylish circular air vents above a sturdy, visibly balanced climate control system. The steering wheel is D-shaped, a sporting touch that gives drivers more legroom. The front seats on the 2021 Nissan Sentra have Nissan’s incredibly comfortable Zero Gravity, inspired by NASA’s zero-gravity travel material. The rest of the cabin is adequate for a compact sedan.
An elegant 7.0-inch display (standard on base models) is prominently displayed above the vents front and center with upgrade options for SiriusXM satellite radio, an eight-speaker Bose stereo, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. While the base model features a 7.0-inch display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the rest have an 8.0-inch unit and a USB in the front and back seats.
The 2021 Sentra earned a five-star crash-test rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). All newer Nissan vehicles come with driver-assistance technology.
